To not know where to start?

Let me start off by saying Christmas day was great, it all went to plan, but I seemed to have used every single bowl, plate, saucepan, glasses and I am the dishwasher.

The lounge looks like a bomb went off. The only room that looks tidy is DS' bedroom and I am still not sure how that happened.

I am on lego building duty tomorrow as DP is back at work, I am just not sure whether to start on something now or leave it and hope an elf turns up and cleans it.

Oh and just incase anyone asks, yes I am in the UK, I fell asleep at 10pm and woke up half an hour ago , so will be up for a few hours.

Do NOTHING now. Back to sleep, have break. There's no rush to build it all

I am catching up on Strictly before I do anything, I was cooking when it was on yesterday.

I am subtly hinting to the cats they might want to do something other than sleep in the cardboard box

What’s wrong with your DP’s arms and legs? Why couldn’t he help tidy up or make a start on it for you?

That is very much my fault, I told him to leave it, Christmas Day is his only day off over Christmas, so I thought I would be nice.

I am regretting that offer now

Ah, even so he could have made a start on it for you. I’d start off with washing up the things that have started to go crusty and soak the rest while the morning.

Aye he could of done, but knowing him, he is probably going to get up early and make a start on a few things.

Good point about soaking, I shall look at that now, thank you

Save for a dishwasher for next Christmas!

Soaking is always a good place to start.. then back to bed

Save for a dishwasher for next Christmas!

I don't have room for one, just moved from a place that had one to one that doesn't have any room for one.

Does have the fucking pipe thing that can plumb it all in, but there is no way we can fit it in

I am slowly tackling the carnage. It's not too bad really but I get a bit stressed with stuff everywhere. So far I've emptied and re loaded the dishwasher, emptied the drier and re loaded it and folded some laundry. DC's have had breakfast, dh in bed feeling unwell. Next step in a little while will be to take all the presents upstairs. We have a lot of people coming this afternoon but that gives me plenty of time to get tidied up. Then we will make more mess! But I have paper plates for this afternoon's buffet so no dishes to do.
