I’ve heard so many different traditions. Do you do pressies first?

When do you have lunch/breakfast and dinner.?

I’ve a strange feeling that I might just be to common

We have a day where there is no set timetable/routine.

DD (6) woke us up at 8am and we opened stocking pressies in bed.

Got ready and had some breakfast and MIL came round for half an hour at 10. Then we went and took the dog on a walk.

Midday we opened presents downstairs. 1pm ish we started making Xmas dinner/tea while playing UNO. Ate around 3:30 with some Christmas tunes on.

DD is happy Hamma Beading while DH washes up then we're going to get under the blankets watch strictly and snooze

DC are 12 & 15 and DM staying with us for a week
Up no earlier than 7am for stocking opening on our bed
Chill out, get dressed, down for breakfast 9.30-10
Let them open one present each after breakfast
Canapés and champagne at midday, prep lunch
Lunch at 2-2.30
Open presents
Watch film, eat chocolates
Drink a lot of alcohol
etc

DC open stockings while adults drink loads of tea and generally try & wake up.

Break for xmas tree crumpets / toast / croissants / Baileys coffee for adults, hot chocolate for DC.

Open tree presents.

Try & tidy up a bit & get dressed. Play / read / run round like mad things.

Lunch.

TV, chocolate, savoury snacks all evening.

These all sound great I love reading about other people’s day,

I think how we do things varies in different parts of the country.

We have tea and toast while diving in and opening all pressies.

Then we head to my parents, for breakfast, rest of the family will also be there. More presents and total chaos. Head home around 1pm, prep for dinner, either going out or eating at home. Dinner around 5ish always with other family members.

Try to make sure all strays are in their way home for 8pm so that we can tidy up and veg in front of tv
