It sounds like spring in my back garden & we haven't had winter yet! They're all chirping away madly like it's courting time. I've really noticed the noise recently.

I haven't but I hope I do! I love watching the little bird, I saw a tiny, tiny robin yesterday and it made my day. I'm always worried about them in this cold though.HmmGrin

YES! we've had loads of small birds (sorry no idea what lol) grouping together on our front fence making a right racket on and off the last week, I've never noticed it in spring nevermind winter. Is the apocalypse coming?!

Dhalandchips · 25/12/2018 08:54

Yes, and it's fabulous 😍

EdWinchester · 25/12/2018 08:56

Yes, because my dh feeds them, including about 30 jackdaws. They all wait for the breakfast making a complete racket. By May, I have to wear earplugs.

I can hear one tweeting away outside the window. My Nectarine tree is thinking about blossoming and yesterday saw daffodils that will be out soon.

Jaimx86 · 25/12/2018 09:05

Yes - we said the same this morning.

FlibbertyGiblets · 25/12/2018 09:05

Its to do with the birdie pineal gland and longest night/solstice. The gland detects the sunlight strengthening once winter solstice over, and birdies switch into spring is coming mode.

We've got a hard frost and I've seen a robin on the bird feeder, so definitely festive today. But the last few days have been mild.

TwoGinScentedTears · 25/12/2018 09:21

Yes! I only said to my sister at dawn, listen to the birds! I like to think it's because I stocked up the feeders yesterday, with their favourites and they're thanking me! Xmas Smile

Not here, I just went outside and it's silent. They must ll be over at your place.
