Santa duties are never easy!

I just woke DS1 up doing the stockings. He was a bit confused as i tried to march him past the stockings to the toilet and back to bed. He said I'm not doubting whether Santa is real but you're very noisy.

I was rumbled doing the tooth fairy - had got away with it for years!

Santa got rumbled here when DH went and grabbed ‘Santa’ wrapping paper for a present for my parents. I’ve been reminding him all week which one not to use, plus I hid that one and put out 3 other patterned papers. I checked after midnight mass, and everything was fine under the tree. Sometime between 2am and 7am he managed to find the wrap and use it, then proudly present the gift to PILS this morning at breakfast. With our family gift tag, and his handwriting but using ‘Santa’s pen’.

DD is 8yo, and this was likely her last Xmas as a ‘believer’ so I’d gone to extra effort to defeat her ‘eagle eye’. She was onto the gift-wrap fail immediately, and DH’s lame excuses (fumbled and stuttered) didn’t help.

He’s lucky he didn’t get stabbed in the eye with a candy cane. I do 99% of Xmas planning and ‘magic’, and he still always manages to somehow up-end my efforts! Last year I gave him the ‘carrot put out for the reindeer’ to eat up, he managed to leave it in the bathroom. Xmas Angry
