First world problems I know....

Basically we're at relatives house and their recoding system (humax freesat thingy) has broken. We have normal tv channels and access to iPlayer etc through a PlayStation.

We all want to watch Call the midwife tomorrow which starts at 7.45 which is when we'll be busy getting children in the bath / story etc. We want to watch it at about 8.30 with cheese etc.

There's some debate in the house over whether you can watch things live through iPlayer (I.e. pause it at 7.45 and start it when we want to watch it) or whether you have to wait for it to be finished and 'put' on iPlayer which will be after 9.15 and too late (we all rise with the lark)

Can anyone solve a Christmas argument ahead of the big day???!!

Yes! You need to go to the channel tab on iplayer then either watch from the beginning, pausing as necessary. Or if you're late it asks whether you want to watch live or from the beginning.

Thank you!!! Is that the case with everything or just some/most things that are on bbc1?

Personally I would do a trial run through earlier in the day with a programme nobody is bothered about

As long as you watch while it's on live you're always fine, regardless of how far through. Once it's finished though, you've had it.

We tried last night with a few other things on iPlayer channels and you could put them on live and rewind to the beginning but there were discussions over how that isn't the case with ALL programmes 😂😂 again - first world problems I know 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Merry Christmas all!
