Single oven and a few things need 210 and a few 180, do I do the 180 first and turn the oven up or the other way around or doesn't it matter?! Trying to juggle it all so whatever I take out first stays warm. Merry Christmas! Gin

I normally put the oven on at 200C in these circumstances and cook the 180C bits for a few mins more.

I’d stick it on 200° and hope to be fair.

I always do the higher temp and reduce the time for the things that should have needed a lower temp.

BarbaraofSevillle · 24/12/2018 21:24

Set the temperature to 200 and put the stuff that needs 210 at the top and the rest lower down. Keep an eye on everything and take out of oven when done to your liking. Also be prepared to cover with foil if brown but concerned about being cooked through.

I'm doing Aunt Bessie's potatoes (just in case mine fail!) parsnips and the pork & chestnut stuffing all need 210.

My roast potatoes & cauliflower cheese need 180. Should I put it all in on 200 and keep an eye on them? This can only go wrong I'm shit at timings!

In my experience any type of frozen potato product needs longer than the instructions and probably a higher temperature too but I like them crispy and can't stand underdone potatoes.

This!

I tend to go the higher temp, keep an eye and if the stuff that needs a lower temp is cooked quicker remove and cover in foil and keep warm on top of cooker.

But yea potato things I find the temps/times are optimistic anyway.
