Headache for the past 4 days

I received new glasses nearly 2 weeks ago, when I first put them on they felt so much more stronger (I can’t remember prescription), everything was clear! 😂

But the past two days my head is killing, to the point I’m worried. From the min I wake until I go bed, it hurts at the back of my neck, left side of head and behind my left eye 😩😩

They said my left eye is my weaker one. Is it my glasses?

You do need to get medical advice asap. Persistent headache could be any number of things.

I'm having more or less the same problem. I've had my glasses changed several times and they're never right, or they're right for a couple of weeks and then one eye goes off then and they're wrong again. It's caused me so much neck pain that I've had to see an osteopath in the past, but now we're away for Christmas. I'm seriously thinking of looking up physiotherapists in the town where we're staying. Even closing each eye makes my neck hurt. It's seized up so much that I'm waking up each morning with aching eyes when I haven't even opened them yet. I'm getting really worried. My DH has actually been giving me massages every morning which helps a bit but it's making me really anxious.

OP I know everything's closed for Christmas now, but it's worth looking up if any osteopaths or physiotherapists in your area might be open later in the week. It costs money but they can usually help.

But you should also go back to the optician.

My problem seems to be caused by the fact that options keep getting my glasses wrong over and over again. I'm getting sick of it and it's causing me stress.

Have you taken pain relief?

Mummysharkdoodoodoo · 24/12/2018 16:15

I’m actually just about too. I feel really light headed/like the room is spinning too. 😩😩

Do you have any old glasses containing an old prescription? Or contact lenses?

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 24/12/2018 16:19

I've had a similar problem. Every time my eyes are tested the prescription is too strong, so have gone back to my old now 6 year old specs. This has only happened the last two eye test (so in the last 4 years). So frustrating. Some of what you describe sounds like your specs are too strong but do see a gp.

Tectonicplates- I completely feel your pain. I was starting to think there was something wrong with my eyes!

Mummysharkdoodoodoo · 24/12/2018 16:21

I’m going to make an appointment after Xmas. Just felt my neck and I have a sore area on the back of my neck on the left side 😩

I find the osteopath helps so much. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny imo.

tectonicplates · 24/12/2018 16:23

I don't have any old glasses because I'm so precious about keeping my beloved frames that I never get new frames. Hmm

OP is there anyone with you who can give you a neck and shoulder massage? Just general rubbing movements help a bit, my DH has no training.

MyMagicStars · 24/12/2018 16:35

Long shot, but could it be sinuses? I've had the cold going round and ended up with sinusitis headaches as a result. Have you got any Sudafed/steam to try?
