Because Tesco will be closed for 12 hours and the world might end if I run out of limes.

On my list:
Limes (in case I run out)
Bin bags (for a tip run as the bin is almost full and not going to last another 10 days)
Silver cleaner (annual cutlery polish)
Alka Seltzer (or something for bad guts)
More cream/meat/cheese/turkey/party nibbles (for the panic)

What have I forgotten?

Dog food.
More gifts for the kids because I discovered last night that my twat of an XH has got them next to fuck all.

IndianaMoleWoman · 24/12/2018 07:29

Just scoop all the pigs in blankets you can find into a trolley and run.

whenwillthetwitchstrike · 24/12/2018 07:31

Orange juice. Realised last night we have none.

Wonkysack · 24/12/2018 07:32

I'm worried they'll be disappointed with the piles but have 3 and can't get to the shops. The youngest has less than the others but is only a toddler.

The rest look the same. They each have a present from me and a pile from Santa, a keyboard, a candyfloss maker and a tablet.
I ordered 3 keyboards initially and haven't returned them yet, was going to give them all a keyboard but then eldest hasn't got an extra present.

Not wrapped youngest yet as can't get presents out till all kids asleep, gonna be up really late.
Doing Xmas on your own is really hard.

I started on the Christmas spirit last Wednesday so need a top up. Also choc coins for DD's stocking. She saw a new coat she liked last week too...Might get that for her if they still have it.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 24/12/2018 07:34

Garlic. We appear to have none.

Taffeta · 24/12/2018 07:40

Loo roll
Cling film

We again have way too much food. Thought I’d got it right this year but blindsided by rellies not eating enough on Saturday and my mum bringing half of Waitrose round yesterday. Bah humbug.

Member · 24/12/2018 07:51

Double cream (didn’t forget - they had none yesterday)

Sour cream Pringles (as above)

Foil

More cheese

English muffins

MrsScamander · 24/12/2018 07:57

Toilet roll? Never a good time when the toilet roll runs out Grin

dancinfeet · 24/12/2018 08:22

my shopping list for this morning - a small chocolate bar & hot chocolate for the Christmas Eve bags (so judge me, my kids are 14 and 18 and I have done them since eldest was 3 years old - it's a tradition in my house) - though this year they are very small, just a reindeer sleep mask, a scented candle and a choc bar!
Also need some frozen fruit (youngest DD asked for a blender for Christmas, forgot the fruit for it). Milk, and that's it.

wonkysack I used to wrap by stealth when my kids were small. One present at a time on my bed, quilt pulled back then if either of the kids came into the bedroom I would throw the quilt over everything!Bit of a pain getting stuff out and repacking it away one item at a time but it meant that the kids wouldn't walk in to a pile of presents I the corner of the room.

GloriaSmud · 24/12/2018 08:53

Eggs ~ I've just dashed to Aldi for those (haven't run out yet but will probably need some more in the next day or two.) It was 'busy but moving,' I think it took longer to defrost the car before I left, than the time it took in the store.

DH's going to nip in when he finishes work about 2 ish, to see if there are any decent reductions.

Crunchymum · 24/12/2018 08:58

I'm done

Was going to get a bouquet of Xmas flowers for MIL as we are there for dinner later but I'll take her some Baileys instead to save me a trip to the shops.

In and out. Done by 8.15
Need to iron the table cloth, polish the silver and that’s it. I’ve never been so organised.
