I have a DS who is 6 and Christmas is so magical and exciting through his eyes. I think I’m excited too, but need to sleep!
Tomorrow will be even worse, good job Boxing Day is a PJ day in this house.

Me too!! So annoying, I've loads to do tomorrow today I'm wide awake too!!

jpclarke · 24/12/2018 04:45

Me three!! So much to do in the next few hours. If I don't manage to fall back to sleep soon, I am just going to get up and make a start on my jobs.

ChristmasTwatteryDoesMyHeadIn · 24/12/2018 04:53

I’ve been up since 3.30, DS2 got up having been coughing and now he’s settled again I’m wide awake.

Got a busy day ahead. DP and I were a bit daft and had a lazy day with the bairns yesterday so we’ve got it all to do today Grin

Our lot are getting excited though, so it’ll all be worth it.

Same! Got so much to do before family arrives at 3. Tempted to get up and make a start on baking

TopBitchoftheWitches · 24/12/2018 04:58

3.30 today, I actually don't sleep much at all anymore, I wonder if it is to do with the full moon this week?

I am going to put the ham in the slow cooker in a minute.

NameChangeToAvoidBeingFound · 24/12/2018 04:59

Same, except my main problem is I’m at a friends house right now after staying over from the 21st and I can’t do anything to distract myself or anything productive like labelling the presents I bought him for Christmas (my suitcase is in his room) so I’m sitting in the dark on my phone in the lounge dreading the commentary from my family about my little visit when I get home and planning the wrapping that I need to do once home 😂

Bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 24/12/2018 05:27

Tried and failed to get back to sleep may as well crack on with the day. Least it will be productive!! Happy Christmas eve!!!

sdaisy26 · 24/12/2018 05:50

And me I’ve been awake since 4.30. I know I’ll be even worse tonight and then absolutely exhausted on Christmas Day. Meantime the dc have slept through beautifully as per.

WLAH · 24/12/2018 05:54

Awake 5.15am here

AnnaMariaDreams · 24/12/2018 05:55

I can’t get up and doing because DH and DS are asleep. Oh well, this morning can be powered by caffeine and this afternoon by Prosecco Xmas Grin

I’m exactly the same this time of year. Too much on my mind, I dont sleep well in the run up to any kind of event like this!

Loveweekends10 · 24/12/2018 07:11

Got some family staying with their small kids and new puppy so its child and pet bedlam. But lovely😁

BifsWif · 24/12/2018 07:15

I was awake from 2am! Thankfully managed to drop back off.

Most of us are just big kids really aren’t we? Grin

ApolloandDaphne · 24/12/2018 07:44

I woke at 3 am and realised i forgot to take mince out the freezer for making lasagne today. I crept down and took it out and haven't slept since. I have a crowd arriving later for Christmas and I am going to be so tired. No small children so they will all be up late when I just want to go to bed!

mumof2sarah · 24/12/2018 07:48

I've been the same all night, gave up at 5:15 and got up lol. My DD2 is 6 and I feel like this year she's REALLY taken it all in and is so so excited (more so than she's every been) and it's making me more excited. Her and DD1(15) were awake at 6:15 this morning 😂 teenager has taken herself back to bed after realising the actual time but DD2 is now in her room with a movie on because she was starting to get overly excited and I was scared of her peaking too early ha ha. Tbh though she did say she was going to watch elf this morning so I just gently reminded her lol. She's lay in bed with a pop tart and a cup of hot milk chilled out. Operating kitchen blitz and then tip run is commencing in T -15 and then off to the cemetery to visit our loved and lost ones. Have a lovely Christmas Eve everyone xxx

So much today but need to go to work. Going to see if I can get off early as need to get to Sainsbury's, unless I go in my lunch break. All baking done yesterday. Turkey is defrosting ready to be cooked tonight along with the ham in the slow cooker. Everyone is allocated a job today . Need to finish wrapping when I get home. With a large glass of something. Happy Christmas Eve everyone!
