I had two beauty appointments this weekend. One for my hair and the other for my nails. Both were different salons and booked well over a month ago.
During my nail appointment the girl kept telling me how they are so overworked this time of year and how all her appointments are running over and how every appointment is either nails or waxing. I appreciate they are busy as are a lot of people this time of year so I smiled and nodded as we all need a little vent.
Today I arrived for my hair appointment 15 minutes early and again I was told on numerous occasions how I was the last client of the day. The manager was allowing the staff to go home but asked one staff member to give the girl doing my hair a hand blow-drying it so everyone gets out quicker. I now feel one side of my hair is blow dried totally different to the other but that could be my imagination.
Both times but in particular the hair appointment I was just made feel like I was an inconvenience for having an appointment in the run up to Christmas. I was free all this weekend so when I made the appointments I was very clear any time was fine. I also made the appointment for my hair in the salon and whilst my hair isn't long it's quiet thick so it does take an extra few minutes to style but they would have seen that for themselves. It's a bit of a pointless post but I just wanted to see does anyone else feel their appointments are rushed around Christmas?
