Does Advocaat go off??

I’ve got an unopened bottle of Advocaat someone gave DH last Christmas.
We’ve finally finished wrapping presents & are watching While You Were Sleeping & DH fancies eggnog. The Advocaat is as close as we can get, will it be ok to drink? There’s no use by date on the bottle.

If it's unopened it will be fine

Baileys has a 2 year shelf life due to the cream, advocaats eggs would make me think it would be less.. Although I doubt it would make you ill, just wouldn't taste as nice.

Does it have a lot code on it to guess the age of the bottle?

Unopened fine, I think you have about six months then before it curdles.

It goes off before it's bottled. Which is why it should be poured down the sink immediately.
