Ordered on Prime to an Amazon locker in the local supermarket.

Delivery is "By 9PM"

Have just googled and supermarket shuts at 6PM.

Anyone want to place bets? Xmas Grin

So you need to dress like a ninja and mug the delivery if they arrive between 6-9! How much do you want this parcel? Worth a custodial sentence? Smile

Xmas Grin yes!

They prioritise the shop drops over deliveries to homes so I think you'll be fine

Oh that's a relief! Xmas Smile

I ordered two items from Amazon on 16th December and was assured they would arrive 8 pm 21st December-hah! I was emailed late afternoon telling me they had tried to deliver at 1.20 pm but no answer. I got straight back pointing out no card had been left and why were they delivering 6 hours 40 minutes early. They told me there would be someone out the next day but it could be up to 10 pm so L waited. All day. Zilch. Went on to twitter and Facebook, an apology and I would definitely have my delivery today. Late afternoon I checked my account and found my order had been changed to delivery on the 28th December. Furious I rang their laughably named customer service and was told I only ordered today! Asked for a supervisor who agreed the order had been changed and there had been no attempt to deliver. She said she would check what they could do and ring me back. Four hours ago. Back on Facebook with the sorry tale and asked to send details to their Social Media team which I did and got a message back saying they would be in touch in twelve hours time. Hilarious. Could be worse I suppose; I could work for them.

Parcel I sent to my parents two weeks ago with Hermes has gone AWOL, they cannot even tell me where it is and merely suggest that I claim compensation. Because, yes, that makes up for non-delivered gifts ...

SheriffCallie · 24/12/2018 09:40

Amazon and/or their couriers have lost two fairly big and expensive gifts for me this month. And the replacement for one, my little boys only request from Santa, and ordered a week ago, has yet to dispatch, leading me to have no choice but to visit Smyths yesterday (3hr return journey and 1 hr stuck in car park, missing a family gathering). Amazon offered me a £5 credit for the inconvenience!!! Would barely cover 1/4 petrol costs. I cancelled my prime, I was so pissed off.
Amazon is not to be mentioned in our house over Xmas, such is the level of fury it brings out in me atm.

Amazon have done a sterling job here.
DPD, on the other hand... well, let's just say someone working for DPD will be getting a free switch this Christmas. Currys, once they finally started answering messages, have been fantastic tho.
