Two days to go and I am worn out

Literally - sapped of energy after shopping, cooking, present buying and wrapping, decorating the house, etc.

Just went to have a snooze on the sofa and the dog decided she wanted to play! Yawn ........ anyone feel the same?

I feel the same!!! Assumed I'd be buzzing and full of energy the afternoon before Xmas eve and I'm just lying in bed before going for a nap now!! 😂

Point of exhaustion here too. Kids keep bickering. All I want is sleep

Luckingfovely · 23/12/2018 15:02

Me too. Had a horrid cold last week and now left with complete exhaustion.

So much to do and stressing out. I'm now having a panic attack, which my mind is convinced is a heart attack, and debating whether to call 111 or not.

Lattesforlife · 23/12/2018 15:05

Luckingfovely deep breathes lovely. One thing at a time Flowers

I am in the same boat, I am utterly overwhelmed. Single parent, split from partner this summer and he has just got a new girlfriend so I am picturing them happy together. DS keeps talking at me, he literally has a running commentry going and I am just being a cow as I am craving silence.

I want a fast forward button!

BigusBumus · 23/12/2018 15:06

I'm jut back from Sainsburys with yet more food as the previous 4 loads have been eaten already by ravenous bottomless pit teenagers. Fucked off with it all now.

I'm longing for daffodils and tulips.

ernjas · 23/12/2018 15:07

I'm so excited for Christmas still, I just wish I had an extra few days to organise!!

HollyBollyBooBoo · 23/12/2018 15:10

I was about a week ago but kept going and got most stuff done so have been able to chill a bit the last 2 days. It's definitely a less stressful Christmas already so I'm definitely doing it his way in the future.

Rainbowoman · 23/12/2018 15:14

Yup absolutely knackered! Was meant to do the xmas card n present run this morning but ds was sick 🤢 so I have to do that tomorrow. Only finished wrapping presents last night after cleaning the house top to bottom dd was also sick 🤢.

Rainbowoman · 23/12/2018 15:15

Freshly cut grass, daisies

StayAChild · 23/12/2018 15:18

Daffodils and tulips sounds wonderful BigusBumus. We're past the shortest day now anyway so we're on the up.

I've been at it for what seems like weeks and have just reached exhaustion. My 2 DCs and their families will arrive by dinnertime to a fridge full of food, well stocked drinks, and a clean, festive house with everything done, wrapped and special request toys out for the DGCs. I wonder if they have any idea of the effort that goes into it.
I wouldn't have it any other way, but I think they would have a shock at the work and expense that it all entails.
I still feel lucky that they want to spend their Christmas with us. Xmas Smile

MysweetAudrina · 23/12/2018 15:22

Dh took ds off to visit family and myself and dd were set to do a big clean but somehow we have ended up under a throw on the couch, me snoozing and her watching the Nativity.
