Is it hideously crowded or not too bad?

Just back from Asda to replace the bread the kids have eaten yesterday.

It wasn't too bad really, parking not a problem, shop busy but no more so than any other Saturday, everything in stock.

Was in Morrisons for 0800am this morning. Busy but ok!

Then went to Aldi which was fine. Aldi had some great half price offers.Xmas Grin

Went to Tesco and the our M&S at 8.30 this morning, Tesco shelves full, loads of staff and a half full car park, around the same as a usual Sunday. M&S couldn't move for food and staff, short queue for pick up but otherwise Saturday levels of busy. Nothing like past years where I can remember queuing out the door.

Now I must get off of here and do some baking!

We have no Christmas food.
We need to get our heads from up our asses don’t we?
( we are out to lunch tomorrow)

Whocansay · 24/12/2018 10:16

Just got back from Tesco. Was OK. Lots of stuff. No bloody walnuts though!

Bishalisha · 24/12/2018 10:20

Was at Sainsbury’s for 6am this morning. Full of bickering couples Grin

Went to Morrisons at 6am this morning for the fresh bits (had Tesco order on Fri). All fully stocked, good quality fruit and veg. Full range of bread and meat. Prob a hundred cars in carpark even at 6, wouldn't want to be there now!

HowlsMovingBungalow · 24/12/2018 10:27

Went yesterday - absolutely fecking jammed everywhere.
Local farm shop was heaving, rammed full.

I'm in my pjs today, fuck going anywhere near shops. Madness!

Minniemountain · 24/12/2018 10:41

DH was at Waitrose at 7.30 for a few things. He says it was like a normal Saturday.

MrsJayy · 24/12/2018 10:49

Bbc Breakfast was at a Tesco today i think the presenter was expecting salivating hoards 1 elderly gentleman sauntered past him was funny.

FogCutter · 24/12/2018 10:50

Went to Waitrose at 7.30 (it opened at 7) and it was nice and quiet.

Aldi at 8am was busy but no more so than a usual Saturday.

Popped to Lidl to get some wine and it was absolutely empty!

Managed to get everything I needed for Xmas lunch, everywhere was well stocked.

Chocolateheaven123 · 24/12/2018 11:35

I went to Tesco yesterday morning for a few last minutes bits and forgotten Christmas cards! It was busy but not chaotic and although the till were 4-5 trolleys deep, it was all very efficient and moved at a reasonable pace. No one obviously stressed or fighting either.

Went to butcher's this morning. Queue was out the door and in it for 40 minutes. Everyone was in a fantastic mood, all chatty and happy. They had someone handing out goodies as well.

PigeonFromHell · 24/12/2018 12:28

Morrisons was fine this morning, just starting to get busier as I left. Apparently there was a punch up in the Sainsbury's car park yesterday. Rather glad I abandoned it for this morning.

OutPinked · 24/12/2018 12:50

I got it done on Saturday. Aldi wasn’t as bad as I’d imagined but Morrisons was.

RightOcciputAnterior · 24/12/2018 21:58

Went to Sainsbury's at 8am today (it opened at 6). It was absolutely fine and not packed at all. Plenty of stock on the shelves, apart from less choice of bread than I'd have liked. By the time we left at 9.45am it was getting busy, though.
