My kids have dropped food somewhere haven’t they?

There are big fat black flies appearing everywhere in my bedroom and en suite, I’ve hoovered up 10 so far and there are 5 more this morning.

My house is tidy (ish 3 kids) and clean, but they just keep appearing.

the kids have left food (or pooh dear god) somewhere I can’t find it haven’t they?? If you were illicit fly breeding food in my room where would you be?!

If they are all in one specific place it could be cluster flies. We had an infestation of them once. They were in the loft and the exterminator had to spray to get rid of their homing scent which attracted more.

There were 8 bluebottles on the kitchen window this morning. All a bit dopey so I ushered them out the window using the soft floorbrush. Half an hour later and the DH removed a further 5. I've checked under the table, dog beds, emptied the compost bin, nothing. OP, if you find your source, let me know, it might be similar here.

I’m going to do a full furniture/drawer pull out tonight and will update any findings! I’ll also google cluster flies FML.

I have found a dead mouse in the trap downstairs so wonder if a bugger has got in upstairs as well, but they generally STINK so you know they are there and my bedroom isn’t smelly
