I know NYR are usually never met (diet and so on lol), but just interested to hear what other things have you got planned out for 2019? This is my list so far:

  • Complete Maths and English Courses
  • Enrol into BTEC course
  • Use less technology (phone)
  • Go out more with DS
  • Write things I am grateful for every day
  • Change lifestyle and eat healthily again
  • Save money

Can't think of anything else ATM. What about you? Xmas Smile

I want to try running with park run.
Daily yoga sessions
More and yet more decluttering
Buying less stuff - which should help the decluttering
Plant more flowers and herbs in the garden
Stop taking sugar in tea/coffee
Organise my finances a bit better and pay off a good chunk of debt

ChodeofChodeHall · 23/12/2018 10:43

Stop apologising so much

Stop moving out of the way for people

Be nicer to myself

Bluesheep8 · 23/12/2018 11:41

Stop drinking too much / realise when I've drunk too much and stop. But I say that every year.

Swim more, currently manage once a week and I feel so much better afterwards, but need to make an effort to fit anither session in.
Find a stable, secure job, currently locuming and fed up of being let down.
Start a tapestry so time in front of the tv isn’t entirely wasted!

Blackladybug · 23/12/2018 14:55

I want to do a week's detox, lots of water, fresh fruit and veg, exercise. I know I won't last longer than a week doing it haha so that's my aim.

ICouldBeSomebodyYouKnow · 23/12/2018 15:05

I'm going to stop doing a whole load of things at work, because nobody cares and nobody will notice except me. If they don't get done, nothing seems to happen. I get stressed over stuff that doesn't seem to matter to anyone else. That's ending right here, right now. I have a NOT 'to do' list, and it feels great!

It's all part of a drive for 'living for now' that I need to do more of.

To use Wishing Wells for good instead of evil

bumblebee39 · 24/12/2018 22:10
  1. Do more
  2. Expect less
  3. Sort out my finances
  4. Ask for help when I need it (and when I don't need it but could still do with it)

I've also got academic and family goals (finish course, have baby etc.) but they are the main ones

Racheyg · 24/12/2018 22:16
  1. Get back down to 9st 6lbs (have 2 Stone to lose)
  2. Save money
  3. Think and sort out my home/work life balance
bananamonkey · 24/12/2018 22:55
  1. Read a book a month, Ove been so crap at reading this year
  2. Spend less time on my phone, replace with reading
  3. I’ve lost 2 stone this year through low carb and got back into running and strength training so I want to keep that up although I’ve just found out I’m pregnant so ideally keep running as long as I can and keep on with weights, maybe add in a few healthy carbs.
loubielou31 · 24/12/2018 23:13

Make a much better effort to meet up with friends.
Just get more healthy.

bumblebee39 · 24/12/2018 23:14

Oh and to be more glam

Sometimes I don't see the point in polishing a turd. But honestly, I need some glam back!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 24/12/2018 23:16

Last year I resolved to run for ten minutes every day. I've ended up running nearly 1000 miles and have lost 3 stone. Life changing.

This year: keep running, do a marathon
And also to stop giving so much of myself to people who don't deserve it. Save my fabulousness for people who reciprocate.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 24/12/2018 23:18

Oh and get off my phone- like many on here I am addicted. I'm going to physically switch it off during the day I think.

darkriver198868 · 24/12/2018 23:27

2018 has been horrendous.

To lose weight-I have set a date to start dieting but only after I have met the adopters .

To begin writing my novel.

To survive.

pennysays · 24/12/2018 23:37

Some great ones here including @cheesenpickles @ICouldBeSomebodyYouKnow and @ChodeofChodeHall I love it.

I'm not going to try to lose weight. I read the anti diet thread on here and it has changed my life. I'm going to stick with that.

Keep running
Stay vegan-ish
Keep using the calm meditation app every night
Keep up my nightly routine
Have more sex
Release my new project to the world
Make a quilt
Say what I want - so simple yet so effective

AJPTaylor · 24/12/2018 23:40

Have orthodontics

ShadyLady53 · 24/12/2018 23:51

I have many goals but only one really important one and I need to get it out on here!

I am going to find the real deal loving relationship with a genuinely good and altogether wonderful man that I’ve always wanted to have and we are going to get married and have a family - I am calling in Mr Right, see you in 2019!

TheHatOfDoom · 24/12/2018 23:59

Lose weight
Chill out more
Stop taking on my carers’ crap (listening to/taking on their whinges about their job has had a negative affect on my mental health this year)

madcatladyforever · 25/12/2018 00:06

I'm pretty much sorted as my decree absolute came through recently and I have a great job but:

I am sick of being 5 stone overweight so I am booked in for a gastric band right after xmas as a gift to myself.

Get the finishing touches and jobs done to my house, wardrobe doors etc.

Make sure there are no more toxic people in my life. I've had enough of them.

Get my dollshouse finally finished. An ongoing hobby I never have time for Smile

SagelyNodding · 25/12/2018 00:10

Finish my master's
Get running again
Have some fun, and have an actual holiday!
Save money for said holiday 😂

Annandale · 25/12/2018 00:18

Mostly just keep going.

More exercise, more therapy. Shag someone.
