How do you schedule an Uber in advance?

I’m trying to book an Uber for Christmas Day (comparing price to my local taxi firm) but there seems to be nowhere to input a pickup time. I’ve never used the app before. Many thanks

When you open the app, on the right next to where it says where to? Is a little button with a car and clock - tap there to schedule :)

Yes as PP says but we aware that although the price may be better then your local taxi firm, if they are surcharging when you’ve booked it for (so when busy they charge 1.2x up to 2.5x th standard fare) then you’ll pay that so if only a couple of pound difference, you may be better off using the local firm as you know what you’ll pay

Also be aware it won't really be booked in advance - it just means the app will automatically put the request in at the time you have set but it will go out to drivers as any other request made at that time (because Uber has no way of knowing which drivers will be working and available at any given time).

If you need certainty, using your local cab firm might be better.
