...has gone off to Bethlehem to eat baby Jesus. So says my 3 year old. I’m howling! What funny things did your LO’s come up with today without any instigation?

Ds3 learned at nursery (last week) that the baby Jesus is the son of God and was born in a stable in Chester Zoo Grin

Mindee aged 2 decided he didn't like baby Jesus so tried to flush him down the toilet.

About 10 mins ago i watched my DD (4yo) stick a bogey in her mouth.

Me: what did you just put in your mouth? Was it a bogey?
DD: No, it came from my heart
Me: was it love?
DD: [giggling] no, it cam e from my heart nose, my heart is massive and has a spare nose
Me: right, ok then. You shouldnt pick your spare heart nose and eat the bogey either then.

Not really funny but my DD2 (who is almost 2) is a whirlwind who doesn’t stop normally. Well today I was doing something in the bedroom and she’s climbed on the bed. I turned round and she was lying on her tummy with her hand under her head. I went over and started stroking her hair and she was just quietly babbling at me (she has lots of words but was so quite I couldn’t make anything out). It lasted for a little while and was just a lovely little bubble in the middle of the madness!

My 3 year old thinks Father Christmas works in McDonald's - I have no idea where this notion came from. We haven't been to Maccies for about 3 months and I don't recall seeing anyone who looked remotely like Father Christmas. Any conversation about father Christmas, he'll interject with "he's from McDonald's. He makes fridge (french) fries." Hmm

My two year old DD is all tucked up in bed, she turned to me and said "Mummy, I want a dog."

I said "No sweetheart, we have cats."

She turned and nodded and said "Ok mummy. A snail then."
