Bathroom floors

We're in the midst of redoing our bathroom and need to make decisions about the floor. Does it make a big difference as to whether you have tiles, laminate or whatever? Is there a "best" thing to have? Have you chosen and then regretted afterwards? Any advice or things to avoid would be really helpful!

we didnt choose but have ceramic tiles but matt ones not shiny ones on ours they are slippy when wet so i have a couple of cotton rugs but easy to keep clean

We have waterproof laminate. Did consider underfloor heating but decided not to bother. The laminate in warm to walk on and easy to clean and we laid it ourselves.

It’s called Aquastep.

We went for a coloured rubber floor. Looks great and very easy to maintain. www.colourflooring.co.uk

We have tiles and unofficial underfloor heating - our boiler is in the bathroom and the pipes from the boiler to the two radiators in the adjoining bedroom run under the bathroom floor so it's toasty warm when the heating is on. When the guy came and fitted them he put them in situ so they heated the whole floor as our bathroom is only tiny.

We don't have underfloor heating so perhaps tiles will be too cold and laminate/rubber is the way to go?

We have amtico and I really like it.

Don’t get concrete tiles! We went for style over function and I hate them, they’re a total pain in the arse to clean and actually make my teeth hurt

We have Harvey Maria luxury vinyl tiles: here

Look good, hardwearing and warmer than ceramic or stone type options

@Hellbentwellwent concrete now crossed off the list. Thanks!
