Is this a wart? Or something else?

11 year old son has had this on his hip for a few weeks but just told me this morning . We are away for Xmas so no GP appointment possible. Is it a wart or if not what is it please?

Looks like molluscum contagiosum to me. My DS had it for all over for about 18 months.

They are highly contagious when they burst - the white part in the middle holds the infection - so what we ended up doing was a controlled popping and immediate cleaning/covering so it didn't spread. They heal really quickly once burst, but if they burst on their own they can spread all over the body (google for pics Sad).

I agree it probably is molluscum. Maybe stick a plaster over it to contain the inner infectious core if it bursts. It can last for months and can spread too

Yes my daughter had it, it's moluscum.
