Can anyone help me understand DD4.5 LogMAR results

So I got a letter from school saying she had failed her eye test and needs to go to Opticians (which I will arrange tomorrow) but googling is getting me nowhere, I am struggling to understand it, results are LE 0.300 RE 0.275, can a kind Mumsnetter help me interpret?

Are there any + or - signs? + would mean long sight and - would be short sight

That is slightly reduced vision , if you think about the letter chart you read when you have an eye test vision is only reduced by one line from the pass level which is 0.2 at school vision screening

0.2 is 6/9 on Snellen
0.3 is 6/12

Yes you did get it right , your vision at 1.02 is just below 6/60 the top letter on the snellen chart. I also have family members who are severely sight impaired
