Is an Xmas hamper the notch up after gift vouchers as the ultimate Xmas gift cop out?

I've really struggled this year for an Xmas gift for my mum. Her only real interest is her pets. She is a bit of a hoarder but has fairplay to her made good inroads with decluttering in recent months. I'm reluctant to buy her something to add to the clutter. I'm sitting thinking of getting a hamper of food from m&s. I can't help but feel a hamper is the next level up from gift voucher as the ultimate Xmas gift cop out.

We have resorted to this for the last 10 years for PiL
We go to the local deli get posh pasta and sauce. Special meats and cheeses. Local apple juice and stuff like that.
They need nothing and are v ungrateful whatever we do.
