On the day can you leave and re-enter or do you have to take everything with you that you need?

I really don’t know. I have never had to leave the park. Maybe you can try calling them?. Haven’t been there in a while. If you’re staying at one of their hotels I’m sure you can do that.

I’m sure they stamp your hand if you want to leave and return.

Yes you can. Just tell them at the barriers you want to get something from your car. They will usually stamp your hand. Or you can leave stuff in a locker in the market square area but you have to pay for that!

All the times I've been (a lot!) they stamp your hand. There are a couple of nice pubs along that road - The Star and The Shy Horse that do food.. Went to The Star recently and had a reasonably priced sandwich lunch.
