What songs do you link with events/disasters?

Whenever I hear 'Fairytale of New York' by The Pogues I think of Lockerbie. I think it's because I've always found the song quite sad, the fact the flight was going to New York, and the song only came out the year before the disaster.

Black Eyed Peas 'Where is the love?' makes me think of 9/11.

Black Eyed Peas 'Where is the love?' makes me think of 9/11.

I agree with this, and will add Ariana Grande's One last time makes me think of the Manchester arena attack, but that's more understandable.

I saw a 9/11 documentary about the jumpers from the twin towers and they had Moby's why does my heart feel so bad, and now whenever I hear that it makes me think of 9/11.

There was a documentary once about 9/11 that had this footage from the base of the towers after the planes had hit, and the plaza between the towers had been evacuated. There was paper floating down from the windows above, fluttering around, and there was this tinny tannoy system playing Billy Joel, Always a Woman. Or possibly just an instrumental version of the tune, easy listening style.

It remains the eeriest piece of music I've ever heard.

You’ll Never Walk Alone and Ferry Cross The Mersey - Hillsborough.

Candle In The Wind - Princess Diana

Dangerous Woman reminds me of The Manchester Attack
