Really lovely school let out.

DD1 is 5 and this is her first year in school so this is the first time I’ve seen this.

Everyone was let out at 12. First the loudspeakers started playing ‘merry Christmas everyone’ then the doors opened and the kids all came out singing the song.

I actually welled up a bit, it was just a lovely ‘it’s Christmas’ moment!

That's adorable. My dd is at secondary school now, but the teachers at her school always stand at the school gate with their Christmas hats on, singing Christmas carols to the kids as they leave the school grounds. The music teacher is even there with his guitar. I find it a really sweet tradition and even though the kids are mostly teenagers, I think they like it too. Smile

That's lovely! My DS has just started secondary, and the teachers surprised the kids yesterday by putting on a panto that they'd been rehearsing in secret. He loved it.

How sweet.

Mine were let out early. Lots of harrasssed teachers and overtired, pale kids came piling out.

We've had an 8 week half term and you could tell Grin

Ours were a bit subdued too. I just counted, we’ve had nine full weeks back at school since half term. Absolutely bonkers.

It was just so festive and the principal was there dancing away and some of the teachers and assistants were dressed up.
