Sending your washing out to be done, pipe dream or sensible option?

Not all of the washing, just the bedding. In my ideal house I would have a huge machine, or 2 machines. The house is small so realistically washing when we have guests or in the evening is a pain due to the noise (open plan kitchen/diner). By the time I get clothes washed for 6 people doing the bedding is a pain and consequently it just doesn’t get done as often as it should.

If you get your washing done, how much to you pay and where do you send it please?

My mother takes hers for a service wash at a laundrette when she has visitors or the weather is very bad. It's not v expensive.

We send out our bedding and towels. We have enough of each to allow us to build up about 2 large bin bags at a time, and drop them to laundrette every 6 weeks or so. Normally ready to collect later the same day. It is, without a doubt, some thing I would be very reluctant to give up.

Oh I am in Dublin- about €25-€30 each time, depending on the amount in our bags. Comes back warm and folded nicely, ready to go straight into cupboard.
