Anyone else's children want random weird stuff? One year, my youngest wanted a particular nozzle for the hoover. One of my friends' sons wanted a tea towel because it felt nice.

HexagonalBattenburg · 21/12/2018 15:57

That one's not happening kiddo.

Invisimamma · 21/12/2018 16:00

A hot water bottle (a specific owl one) and a swimming cap.

ImogenTubbs · 21/12/2018 16:00

Oooh, there's another thread about this somewhere. DD (ages 5) wants a flytrap plant and some worms. These only just came up so I'm sticking with the LOL doll that was on the original list.

Jackshouse · 21/12/2018 16:02

2.5 DD has decided she wants real purple flowers.

IRememberSoIDo · 21/12/2018 16:04

One wanted a green train. I wanted hard sweets and a measuring tape one year.

tinofbeans · 21/12/2018 16:04

DS, age 4, wants: everything. He won't be any more specific than that Xmas ShockXmas Confused

BifsWif · 21/12/2018 16:07

My daughter has only, and repeatedly, asked for a pizza.

statetrooperstacey · 21/12/2018 16:07

My 7 yr old wanted a wheelchair. She had a go at wheelchair sports at school and loved it. I'm not getting her one!

Soubriquet · 21/12/2018 16:08

I’ve never had a strange request yet. My eldest is 5

mogtheexcellent · 21/12/2018 16:10

A flamingo outfit.

And just found a Santa letter done at school which asks for a flamingo outfit AND glue.

Must remember to pick up a pritt stick. Grin

Thishatisnotmine · 21/12/2018 16:11

Paw Patrol. Not strange but dd1 does not watch Paw Patrol, when I put it on Netflix she told me she did not like Paw Patrol. But she keeps asking for it. I have bought her a Paw Patrol jigsaw.

Muddlingalongalone · 21/12/2018 16:11

My strangest request this year was for green pens for her teacher! Previous years have included pineapple and mango instead of satsumas in stocking, a real kangaroo & many many others.

hettie · 21/12/2018 16:16

DD once wanted "black cushion" she was about 2 and a half ...and very insistent....When questioned further she managed to relate it the pushchair (we had no car and walked miles so she'd still jump in it to nap). .AHH like a cosy toes I thought...DD.... nope black cushion Confused. In the end we got her....(wait for it) .. .a black cushion, fake fur on one side and fleece on the other. She seemed happy enough. She still has it (it's on her bed) so I think we got it right.

brillopants · 21/12/2018 16:17

My 7yr old dd wants the power to fly

LoudestRoar · 21/12/2018 16:20

GooodMythicalMorning · 21/12/2018 16:21

2 years ago dd wanted a "real live baby girl pug". Grin

I told her santa isnt allowed to bring animals. She was ok with this. 4 months later we did get a bulldog puppy though but because we were ready not cos she wanted a dog.

LosingNemo · 21/12/2018 17:59

My son’s Christmas letter for Father Christmas asks for some peace (and a princess dress for his sister... with relatives over from Oz and16 for Christmas (not normal for us) I don’t think he’s going to get it, but we’re defo going to need it!

KindergartenKop · 21/12/2018 19:18

Ds1: An elephant seal (real) and Jaffa cakes. 1/2 ain't bad!
Ds2: Chocolate chip biscuits.

sabrenathwaite · 21/12/2018 19:30

A copy of the Communist M
anifesto. He's 13 though so it's probably quite normal. Isn't it???

HippyChickMama · 21/12/2018 19:36

Dd, then aged 3 asked for a snowman and some cheese. Last year (aged 4) she wanted eggs, real ones with chickens inside.

ninja · 21/12/2018 19:58

Mine has asked for blue tac, sharpies and ... cereal

And no she's not as young as you'd think, she's 10!

NotCitrus · 21/12/2018 20:38

ninja Ds age 10 has asked for 'proper cheerios', and socks.
Dd asked for loads of wierd stuff (bloody cozy craft corner on YouTube), but it's all cheap so she has food colouring, some furry fabric, some double-sided sticky tape - and a couple glue sticks from last year which she promptly lost!
