So I have cupboards full of treats. Usually wait till Xmas eve to start on what is officially ‘Christmas food’
I’m desperate for some of it it’s ok to start early isn’t it 🤣

I give you permission

Herja · 21/12/2018 12:49

I won a box of biscuits in a school raffle today, so I've been peacefully eating the worse quality ones I'd already bought today. Go for it!

festivehunger · 21/12/2018 12:49

Haha Thankyou !
I think this stems from my mothers militant protection of all xmas food till Xmas eve i need reminding I’m adult now I think and can eat what I like🤣

School ending = crack open everything

I’ve opened the posh biscuits to make sure I actually have a hope of getting one! DH and the DC are like a plague of locusts when it comes to the biscuit tin. They were nice so I might have to hide them too...

HighwayDragon1 · 21/12/2018 12:51

@festive DH keeps coming into the living room "highway, can I eat this?" Xmas Grin NO it's all for Christmas!

ChristmasRaven · 21/12/2018 12:57

I've also always waited until Christmas Eve to start the treats. Me and my adult DS were actually having a laugh about this the other night! He said the wait used to go on forever Grin
My shopping came yesterday and I saw the Yule log, and gave in to temptation and ate one of the chocolaty end pieces Blush

BiddyPop · 21/12/2018 13:23

I told DD to not open the Christmas cheese yet - she ate a whole lump of Comte, to herself, over 2 nights this week!! And as she's already home from school, I thought that was a necessary warning.

Otherwise, my feeling is that Christmas starts tonight - work and school are finished and we can ALL START TO RELAX - DID YOU HEAR ME, I SAID WE NEED TO RELAX!!!!!

OK, maybe breathe first, then relax Xmas Grin

We don't get loads in, but I will bring down the Seasonal ales for DH tonight, and we will start the season of "small tasty snacks as meals"....

(I might even persuade a few people to open the bottle of prosecco in the fridge at work before we all split up....)

bluebellation · 21/12/2018 13:27

We're travelling abroad to visit DD for Christmas, so we're having 'our' Christmas tonight, which will involve fizz, and festive nibbles. 5.30 tonight marks the start of the holiday for us Wine

LeafCutterAnt · 21/12/2018 13:28

I got out the xmas chocolates last night.

IHaveBrilloHair · 21/12/2018 13:29

I've opened two types of cheese and the harissa nuts.

Screaminginsidemeagain · 21/12/2018 13:35

If you eat it now it won’t be there for Christmas!
Tsk tsk

festivehunger · 21/12/2018 14:44

I opened the Christmas cake...my reasoning was it’s only me who likes it so I’m not doing anything wrong
Have sat the baby in front of CBeebies for a bit so I can actually enjoy it with my tea !

I had salted peanuts for breakfast.
I never touch them normally

Livingthedream12345 · 21/12/2018 16:22

So far I've had some nice biscuits, started on the Christmas crisps and twiglets and finished a bottle of cava.
Think I may need to go back to the shops on Monday!
