For all the gym bunnies what are your plans for training over the festive period?
Do you have a complete break or just go when possible?
I'm worried about when I'm going to fit training in after today....

I do my own workouts by going jogging and using loose weights at home.

I don’t go to the gym unless I pop in before work but I run a lot and plan is
Tomorrow:parkrun
Sunday: 8 mile run with running club in Xmas fancy dress
Monday: nothing driving to family will take forever
Tuesday: Xmas morning parkrun
Wednesday: jog with mum
Thursday: Hill session (we have some good ones where I’m from !) driving back home
Friday: social 9/10 mile run with friends somewhere scenic before driving to Sunderland to finally meet the parents
Saturday: parkrun
Sunday: run round exploring Sunderland
Monday: another run with running club for NYE
Tuesday (New Years day): parkrun x2

I really like running Blush

My gym is only closed Christmas day. I'll be going all other days as usual.

I work out at home and am planning to continue, apart from Christmas Day!

Might do gym fit class on Monday. Sports centre is shut Xmas day and boxing day and only open 10-6 between Xmas and new year. I may force myself to a pump and attack class next Friday and that will probably be it

Blobby10 · 21/12/2018 12:33

Usually gym Monday-Friday before work. I tend to be generally more active when not at work as I'm walking round the house, walking to the shops, going for muddy walks, going for a bike ride etc,

However I plan to do my normal gym routine on Monday and Tuesday (yes, I know its Christmas Day but my kids are adults and wont wake til 10am so I may as well do something useful until then as my boyfriend isn't staying over Christmas Eve Sad) and the rest of the week I will see what happens. My gym is a 24/7 one so I can go anytime.

Greenteandchives · 21/12/2018 12:37

I’m having Christmas Day off, but only because my gym is closed. In the days when I used to go running, I always ran early in the morning wearing jingling reindeer antlers. It was a lot of fun. Many people are out doing the same thing. You feel you earn a bit of excess.

hidinginthenightgarden · 21/12/2018 12:43

I’ll be in Sunday. Off then until Friday. I don’t intend to massively over eat to be honest.

Strokethefurrywall · 21/12/2018 12:49

I've been at F45 pretty religiously this week (I'm off with kids), and am planning a quick run tomorrow, 10k Sunday, F45 Monday and a Christmas morning run (children waking dependent!) - Boxing Day I'll rest and then straight back to F45 through the rest of the week.

I can feel myself eating far more than I usually do so am trying to balance it out. I also know how effing difficult it is to get back into once you lose the routine!!

But I love a good Christmas run to start the day!

PottyPotterer · 21/12/2018 12:55

I'll just work out at home as usual. Usually have one day a week off so that'll be Christmas day next week.
