Is there a thread for this already?

Just thought it might be a good idea to have a thread/bit of support for anyone apart from their kids this Xmas.

I am and although I have alternative plans, I'm not sure how I will handle it.

Yes I know it's just a day. Yes I know we can still have our own Xmas. Yes I know we're not the only ones. But it's still fucking hard.

My friend
She’s just fought a bitter 9 month battle to be able to have unsupervised contact with her children that were cruelly snatched away 9 months ago
She’s a lovely mum and didn’t deserve this.
Now she’s been deemed not to be an unfit mother, she still hasn’t got her kids back but is getting limited access to them
Whole system stinks

The one with the biggest bank balance won and it wasn’t her
She have them at home for the first time befor Xmas, if the arse doesn’t act up and then Christmas Day will be spent with a friend and family.

These kids have suffered so much emotion abuse by the system.
I’m taking a boat load of presents for them...for after Xmas...hopefully the arse won’t act and not bring them

Me. It’s been 11 years of alternate Christmases and I’m still not used to it.
I try to keep busy on Christmas Day and not think about it. Then we will celebrate as a family on Boxing Day.
