Errm...my face is leaking blue stuff?!

This sounds insane but over the last two weeks or so I've noticed bright blue marks on my pillow. The kind of colour of that Carex blue handwash. Isn't makeup as I only wear black, nor toothpaste/mouthwash and all my toothpaste is white. What the hell could it be

Do you have fairly new pillowcases?

Nope, they're old as the hills. Pillow is new but it all white inside and the pillow protector is clean so is face side not pillow side.

I'm trying desperately to work out if I've eaten anything new.

Okay my phone is terrible so it looks no where near as vivid blue in this pic but see one blob in middle, one to the right and top left. Black stuff is mascara took make off off quite badly as was pissed when I got in but have had the same mascara and eyeliner for yonks and no blue til now.

Amount of hands still seems normal.

Eye drops

I used to wonder why I had blue marks on my face that I could see through make up - brightening eye drops.

Could it be ink or something on your pjs?

Night time shower when someone has switched your shower gel to blue paint and cos you are blind as a bat you didn't see the switch until you were covered in blue paint (true story in my case)

It wouldn't surprise me if it was the black eye makeup. Black does sometimes have a blue base/undertones.

A long time ago I was a tech in a dye lab making samples of cloth to get colours right for bulk dyeing of fabrics. To make a black, we nearly always began with a very dark navy blue.

I was going to suggest bed bugs but apparently they leave black pen-like marks on bedding.

Do you use eye drops? Contact lenses? Mouthwash? Is it eye height is mouth height in your pillow?

It could be something your putting on your face reacting with laundry powder in your pillow and turning blue

No, the switch was done by a friend (ex-friend for a couple of hours), I am literally blind as a bat as didn't have glasses on in shower so didn't notice until I was covered. Took about 4 showers to get it all off.

The username comes from the year I signed up to MN (2015) but I was part of a Guinness world record for the most Smurfs in one place at the same time, there was 1253 inc me who took part in 2008.

Participants wore white full-length trousers, a blue long-sleeved shirt or blue T-shirt, a white Smurf hat and all skin showing was painted blue.

Great fun getting blue paint off my ears and face afterwards.
