M1 - somewhere to eat around Leicester/Notthingham

There was a useful thread on this but I can’t find it. Anyway, any suggestions for somewhere to stop for a quick dinner on our way up the M1 North. Don’t want it to be much of a detour and wouldn’t want to be stopping for more than an hour. Thanks l

If you turn off at J21 (Leicester) and follow up the ring road (A563) northwards, it'll take you about 5 mins max to get to Meridian Leisure Park, where there's a range of eating places such as Nandos, Harvester, Frankie and Benny's, Bella Italia, etc.

Donnington services are fairly new, though standard service overpriced fare, DS wanted a Burger King as we dont have one where we live and it came to £25 for three.

I think there is a Harvester there

Meridian or The Observatory pub opposite

If you get off at junction 24 for Kegworth there’s a Marco Pierre whites New York Italian restaurant on Packington Hill which is very good and surprising not outrageously priced if you want something a bit less fast foodish, it’s literally a few minutes from the junction so not out of the way.

Attenborough Nature Reserve is about 4 miles (9 mins) from M1 motorway Junction 25. The visitor centre has a lakeside cafe.

There’s a retail park off j26 at IKEA. There’s a pizza express and Nando’s I think.

Manor Farm Catthorpe - homemade food & you can stock up in the farm shop too.

Wow - thanks for all the suggestions. Looks like plenty of options to chose from.

Depends on what you want, at junction 21 there's fosse park shopping centre with a few food outlets (not a full food court but druckers does a great afternoon tea at any time), plus a McDonald's, a Pizza Hut and both Asda and Sainsbury's have cafes. There's a few pubs in that area and just up the ring road is frankie and benny's and other assorted outlets by the meridian cinema.
