Grandparents and photos of grandchildren

At Christmas I tend to give GPs a picture of DC, school photo or similar. Mainly because some of the GPS moaned (nicely) that they would like to have more pictures than we were giving them.

Anyway, this year I have got the prints done but not bought any frames. Do you think it's rubbish giving/getting them in an Asda Print Envelope thingy? I just think surely they don't need new frames every year, they don't have enough space to display them all. Or maybe I'm lazy. If you are a GP what's your preference please?

Personally, I love getting photos of my grandchildren in any shape or form. I would not expect to have a frame every time.

I would prefer mine in a frame tbh it makes it more of a present.I have done quite a few photos in with peoples presents this year and they are all in frames.

I'd be happy without a frame. Either I could update the current frame or I could put it in an album/cupboard. Limited space to display photos and I hate dusting!

I love to see photos of my GC but am happy to view them digitally. (But please not one of those awful.digital photo frames that flick pictures every minute!)

I think it depends whether the grandparents want to keep a photo each year - and have space in their house for them all. Then a frame would be preferable, so save them having to buy it themselves.
My family only have the space for 1 grandchild photo at a time, so I give them the new one each year and they swap the old one out and put it in a drawer. Buying a new frame each year would therefore be unnessary.
Find out what your grandparents prefer and buy accordingly.

I think it depends if it's a present (in which case it should have a frame) or just a little something extra on top of their present (in which case no frame is fine).

Just put the pics in a Christmas card. They can choose how to display them then.

Thanks all Smile

In the past I have given photos in a frame, or a photo Christmas card and also in one of those magnetic frames.
