First Direct app

A question for anyone who uses this- does it have a ‘pending transactions’ section for a current account.

And does it have any other features that you like?

I’m thinking of moving my account from co-op as there recent app upgrade has only brought their features and functions up to where other banks were about 5 years ago so I’m looking at other places who do packaged accounts who might have a better app.

First Direct has its merits but it’s app is shite and pre-historic. They don’t do pending chip and pin card transactions, only scheduled direct debits.

They also have an extremely convoluted password system with different, not particularly intutive passwords for logging in on your phone and on a computer.

I’ve actually contemplated leaving them due to their security faff. I only use the app with my fingerprint and have to call up if I need to do anything else.

Lloyd’s Bank is a much better app if that matters to you.

It has 'pending' in the sense that it shows me my available balance - minus pending debits - but doesn't itemise them. It does itemise pending credits, so I can see my pay going in the night before its available for instance.

The password thing doesn't bother me, I find it easy enough.

Their app isn't exactly cutting edge but it works well enough for me. I much prefer enjoy the customer service compared to other banks though so have always been happy with them.
