Party food boxes - does this sound ok?

Ds’s birthday party is in a few weeks and I’m trying to work out what to put in the food boxes (don’t want hassle of hot food and plates and cups). Does this sound ok?

Cheese or Chicken roll
Hula hoops
Frube
Bag of party rings
Satsuma
Small bag of carrots
Mini muffin
Fruit shoot.

Is this enough or too much? They’re 6/7 year olds. Would you be happy with your child eating this at a party?

My DS doesn't eat cheese or chicken (or ham). He nearly always ends up sandwich less at parties. He likes egg or tuna. Do most kids like ham or chicken? It does sound a huge amount of food too but the items are ok in themselves. DS would eat 1 slice of bread worth of sandwiches (if he liked the filling!), a frube and maybe some of the crisps and that would be it, especially at a party with lots of distractions. He's 7. To be fair he eats like a sparrow, I know many kids eat more.

Drop the parents a line to ask child’s preference for cheese ham or ham

Definitely no satsuma.

Cheese ham or jame

Kateandme, they are full of artificial bad stuff, very strong and horrible. Believe me, I'm a lax parent, but to me they are a real no go area. Would rather my children drank a decent glass of Malbec!

Lots of children behave badly after drinking them - it's the only thing that dd3 ever reacted to, and it was shocking (especially as we were in a cafe).

I'd skip the satsuma and one more thing, maybe mini muffin.

Sounds perfect! I might be tempted to swap the fruit shoot for apple or orange juice carton though. I have done so many parties with platters of food but boxes of food seemed to go down a treat and far less waste. You can get boxes colour themed and add stickers and names, and maybe a little treat like a chocolate lolly. Last year I swapped the sandwiches for hotdogs handed round at the same time as the boxes (enough for the grown ups too) and they went down well.

I think it seems a lot of food for a party. Most children hardly eat anything as so excited.

Cheese or Chicken roll -yes
Hula hoops - yes
Frube - ditch (will make a mess)
Bag of party rings - yes
Satsuma - ditch
Small bag of carrots -ditch
Mini muffin -ditch (give bithday cake in party bag on leaving)
Fruit shoot. - i think a small juice carton

So just a roll, hula hoops and party rings plus drink. Cake on leaving. thats plenty for 6 year old at a party
