My dh and I were talking about certain answers we need to give about the big man in red and it got me thinking of some of the doozies my parents managed to bat off quite well. I still believed until i was about 9.

What questions have you asked/been asked about FC?

"Why does Father Christmas have the same wrapping paper as you mum and dad?" (Answer: They May have got a bit bashed on the sleigh and needed re-wrapping. We left some out just in case)

"Why does the boy in my class not get any presents from Father Christmas? He says his parents say it's all made up consumerism?" (Answer: Santa respects and understands that some people don't want their kids to have presents because they don't have space or they've got no time to play with them and he listens accordingly. Don't be sad though as their parents love them and they have a happy home)

"How does FC use the brand names of toys? Does he need to pay for usage rights?" (I was a precocious know it all)(Answer: He gets his own license and occasionally, for tricky toys, he sources them from the supplier.)

My ds asked me, seeing as Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus, how soon after Jesus's birth was Santa created? Confused I thought it was a brilliant question.

Haha! Smart kid. I used to wonder about the link between the two but just sort of accepted it. Grin

Why does santa have so many accents?

Why does Santa fly away from the house he's delivered presents too instead of going next door?
