Tweet Kerry Mucklowe from This Country. She has many enemies in Bourton on the Water, so she will have local knowledge.

GrinGrinGrin Nettletheelf. Sorry LardLizard, I have nothing helpful to add

LardLizard · 19/12/2018 20:22

They often seem to, whether they're allowed or not. (Not now though, it's freezing!)

DeezMutts · 19/12/2018 20:24

Yeah always dogs in the water when we go. Probably less small children in December though Grin

SassitudeandSparkle · 19/12/2018 20:25

The water is absolutely freezing in the summer, never mind the winter!

mummabubs · 19/12/2018 20:26

Ours has paddled there (but he's not very energetic or splashy, it was just a quick trot in to have a drink as it was a very hot August day when we went). Other dogs were in there too. :)

@nettletheelf - love it..

(Bourton is only a few miles from me, but I don't have a dog, so not sure)

Moonflower12 · 19/12/2018 20:59

It's not a stream- it's the River Windrush! I'm sure dogs are allowed in it but it's bloody freezing, summer or winter!

Oldraver · 19/12/2018 21:57

There are always dogs in there, there isnt really anyone to 'disallow' it.

I have seem some twonks laughing at the dogs chasing ducks, they did get short shrift from passer byes

LardLizard · 20/12/2018 13:00

Oh that’s why it’s so cold, I’d don’t realise it was a river !

I'm another one who knows first hand it's freezing even in the summer.

I've seen dogs in there several times.

B on the W is pretty!

Don't know if you're still at Bourton, @LardLizard, but someone's started a new thread to say that dogs can go in the river www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/3460574-I-can-confirm-there-were-dogs-in-the-river-at-Bourton?msgid=83598376
