My not so "D"S who is 6 has written his name in biro on my brand new vinyl floor. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get rid of it?

Baby wipe
Takes biro off leather
Failing that nail polish remover wipe (but test inconspicuous corner first)

Well. I managed to dissolve biro on a pair of my draughts leggings with a Liberal application of hairspray.
Worth googling!

Daughter's leggings, that should be!

WD40 does everything, maybe try that!

RogueV · 19/12/2018 14:09

Yes to WD40

Alcohol.

Try baby wipe first, but at my nursery we've found that alcohol based hand sanitiser gets most things off. Even works on inedible pens.

Hairspray and tons of it then mop up with kitchen roll. Cilit bang works too

SantyClaws · 19/12/2018 15:35

One of those magic eraser sponges?

Kittenrush · 19/12/2018 15:37

I second alcohol, the stuff you buy from the cleaning aisle in the supermarket. We use it at the hospital for everything.

We use it at the hospital for everything.

I SO do not want to hear any details!

WiltedDaffs · 19/12/2018 17:10

Definitely alcohol.

When to say vinyl, do mean like a lino type surface? Try a standard rubber/eraser first - it's tip I read (and that works!) for removing Sharpie out of a wooden table 🙄. Does require some elbow grease though.

MissingSummer · 19/12/2018 17:52

when YOU say vinyl, do YOU mean...

I clearly have a problem with the word you.

MorningsEleven · 19/12/2018 18:34

Make the little bugger lick it off. Or biomex (Lakeland sell it)

MilkItTilITurnItIntoCheese · 19/12/2018 18:43

We got biro off a leather sofa with decent perfume. I guess it's the alcohol that does it.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 19/12/2018 18:45

Sticky stuff glue remover /wd 40

How about biro off wood? All of the above?

LittleAlbatross · 20/12/2018 07:38

Thanks all, a combination of various things above has at least faded it to the point that it's barely visible.
