I love food, but people who don't know me well sometimes think I am picky because I don't like...
Pasta. Of any kind. No noodles, spaghetti, or anything. It's the texture I'm sensitive to, it just makes me naucious.
Also not nearly as bad but I dislike lettuce. Absolutely love spinach though.

Lobster! Everyone goes on about how luxurious it is but it just tastes rank to me. Hate the texture too.

Rafflesway · 19/12/2018 16:48

Worst thing EVER in my book - GARLIC!!! How the hell anyone thinks the vile stuff tastes good is beyond me. Plus the stench of people after eating anything with garlic in it.😠

Vinegar - any type of vinegar! Why the hell do restaurants insist on swirling God awful balsamic all over plates? BOAK!!

Mayonnaise - just no! Try buying a pre packed sandwich without it.😡

Dressings on salads. (Leave them alone and put the dressings on the side ffs)

Italian type food of ANY kind, e.g. Pasta, pizza, things coated in olive oil, parmesan etc. I

Fine Dining - absolutely nothing fine about poncey, minute portions served lukewarm and coated in some disgusting liquid concoction for which you need a second mortgage to pay the bill.😠

The list goes on and on unfortunately. I am a self confessed PITA when it comes to food but I just like things very PLAIN.
Eating out with me is a nightmare so rarely do it anymore.😥 Never used to be a problem up to 30 years ago and before the mass garlic/so called "Fine Dining" invasion began.

Jaimx86 · 19/12/2018 16:50

NeedAGoodUsernameThatIsntTaken · 19/12/2018 17:20

Chocolate cake,
Chocolate milkshake,
but I love hot chocolate and chocolate

Avocado - yuck hate it

Brussels sprouts - I'm the only one in family who doesn't eat them for Christmas

Prestonsflowers · 19/12/2018 17:34

Milk, disgusting stuff
Peppers and sweet corn
Coriander is utterly vile

MiriAmmerman · 19/12/2018 17:34

Trifle.
Beetroot.
Anything strawberry flavoured (love real fresh strawberries, but can't abide yogurt, milkshake etc).
Anything banana flavoured (as above).
Alcohol in puddings - so bitter.
Aniseed flavours (hate liquorice; also can't stand fennel, tarragon etc).

I like to think I'm not a picky eater Grin

proudmum4 · 19/12/2018 17:35

Sprouts!!!!

MiriAmmerman · 19/12/2018 17:37

Oh, also coffee (and anything coffee-flavoured) and rice pudding.

I'm also very meh about hummus - I can eat a bit of it, but I don't understand how other people love it so much. Weird texture and I find the flavour too strong.

louderthan1 · 19/12/2018 18:25

Christmas food! Mince pies, Christmas pudding, Christmas cake, turkey...all bleurgh.

All soft/smelly cheeses like Brie, Camembert etc.

Shepherd's pie

The only chips I like are crinkle cut oven chips and chippy chips. Can't stand French fries.

FuckBrussel · 19/12/2018 19:29

Baked beans. Hate the sauce, hate the texture...
Parsnips, butternut squash, sweet potato. Vegetables have no business tasting sweet.
Smokey bacon flavour crisps. I must be sensitive to one of the flavourings they use, because if I eat one I can taste it for DAYS.

Jxtina86 · 19/12/2018 19:35

Carrot cake. My team at work absolutely adore it and can't understand why I turn it down.

BumDisease · 19/12/2018 19:41

Custard, absolutely rotten stuff. Also can't stand tea or coffee.

Oh, and Christmas pudding/cake/mice pies. Eeeyuk!

Peaspleaselouise · 19/12/2018 20:00

Melon

allyourcats · 19/12/2018 20:02

I am really not fussed about chips or potatoes in any form really. I could quite happily live without ever eating a potato again. Also bread. Really not into it. I am the only adult I know that cuts the crusts off sandwiches (if forced to eat them), they're just too bread-y!

lastqueenofscotland · 19/12/2018 20:06

tierraJ · 19/12/2018 20:09

SilverySurfer · 19/12/2018 20:42
