So so fed up with work.

I’ve been in the same job for 15 years, working with the same 3 people. I love the work itself and the job is fantastic in many ways-close to home, uses my degree, nice hours, good pay but fuck me im fed up. It’s the people, it’s so hard to see the same 3 people day in day out and I wouldn’t socialise with any of them in ‘real life’. Just got to focus on the positives I suppose. This time of year doesn’t help, I’m feeling quite jolly and festive and they’re a bunch of grinches.

Just needed to get that off my chest. Thanks.

I don't have any advice but just to say I can sympathise. That's how I feel about work at the moment, its such a struggle and am fed up too. I know I'm shattered with the run up to Xmas so that probably doesn't help.

Do you have any time off over Xmas. Sometimes it can help just to have a break - well, that's what I'm hoping anyway! Have got 2 weeks off and in that time am hoping to do some thinking about maybe where to go next or anything I can change at work to make it more enjoyable. I do think that the people you work with can make or break your time there - at least you have identified what the problem is!

Thank you for the reply, sorry to hear you’re feeling the same way.

I’ve got a week or so off over Xmas,it can’t come soon enough! My last week off was in August so I’m well and truely ready for a break. I’m looking forward to spending time with my loved ones.

Can I join the club? My current role is quite isolated, and I realised recently that very little of what I do actually matters, which has made me feel quite sorry for myself. Hope I feel different the other side of Christmas!

Come on in! I suppose at the very least whatever your job role is it’s earning you a monthly wage.

No jobs’s perfect is it,I keep reminding myself of that. I suppose I’m lucky in the fact that it’s the people getting me down and not the work itself. Eventually they’ll retire 😆

Let’s all hope for some positive changes in the new year.

Have to keep reminding myself I am there only for the money which will hopefully make a difference to my retirement! I try to leave as soon as the hours are done. My friend colleagues left this god damm awkful place so there's nothing else left to motivate me.
