our mixed recycling goes out in bags, wheeliebins for general refuse.

i think i heard a bottle smash as i put a green bag out earlier. do i need to rescue the bits and wrap in newspaper (as i used to when broken glass was general refuse)? should that package go with the recycling or into general refuse? i have no idea what would be standard in terms of procedures/protective equipment and apologise in advance if it's a no brainer!

Maybe just double bag it

i made the mistake of googling and found advice that i should put it in a separate labelled plastic box... i would guess that with loose, mixed recycling in bags there comes some broken glass, no?

It's a bit daft for them to use bags for glass in the first place. We have 4 wheelie bins for all our waste

you must have massive front yards :D we can only just squeeze a small wheelie bin and the bags...
