I thought (probably very misguidedly) that I would make some shortbread to give to family and friends this Christmas. Two attempts (and a ridiculous argument with a 2yo later) and I have some very misshapen Christmas trees and stars. Anyone got a foolproof recipe for shortbread, or can anyone tell me how to stop it spreading out when it cooks??
