What do you do after sex when trying for a baby ?

So we are trying for a second baby. It might sound weird but what do you do after sex? Does lying on your back with your legs in the air really make much difference ? And how long do you wait before going to the loo after ?

I was told about laying down with kegs in the air years ago. And no one ever told me how long for 😁

But as I quite happily enjoyed reading, I'd spend at least half an hour reading before getting up to go to the loo.

I didn't really do anything , I usually had sex in bed before going to sleep .

Just have sex more often 😁

Stand on your head for a couple of hours. Usually works.

Trying too, so just lay there and try to go to sleep. Don't do anything with legs. Although apparently having an orgasm helps maybe ?!

I would usually get straight up and go to the bathroom.

Legs raised slightly increases your chances. Of infection that is. Won't help conception. Healthy sperm don't rely on gravity. You should go for a wee fairly soon after sex.

Had sex
Went for a wee
Fell asleep.

Pillow under bum and lights out. Probably got up a couple of hours later for a wee and clean up. Never had an infection.

I thought it takes the fastest sperm an hour to reach the Fallopian tubes so figured it best to keep it all in for at least that long!

Having a slightly raised pelvis can help

We conceived our second with a quickie. No legs akimbo. But I was relaxed. Had just finished up in work after being made redundant. And that was after nearly a year of trying. So my tip is to relax.

First was conceived after a bout of day drinking with friends. So my tip is to relax and just wait

Tilt pelvis, give the slow one's at the back chance to catch up.

After an ivf embryo transfer they tell you to lie still for 10 mins then don’t wee for an hour or so and don’t do any vigorous exercise like run or jump for a few hours. And no baths for 24 hours. (Also no hot showers or baths for a couple of days to avoid raising your body temperature). I guess doing all that wouldn’t hurt?

I had a wee straight after embryo transfer. Then we got stuck in traffic on the m1.
Result is 6
After sex, wee- a UTi won’t help!

ohTOOdles yeah our first was concieved after a Friday night down our local pub now we are actively trying this time round its proving more difficult .

Going by some of the comments here yes perhaps relatxation is the key. Perhaps going back down the drunken sex route over Xmas is the way to go

Honestly nothing at all and I’ve always been fortunate enough to get pregnant within five cycles max. Just had the usual sex in all sorts of positions so not just missionary as some couples TTC think is best.
