Chest pain and shortness of breath, anyone around for a handhold

I'm 95% sure this is just some particularly unpleasant fibromyalgia pain, enhanced by me getting tense about it because it's got worse all evening.

The other 5% of me is slightly worried it's to do with my fainting and lightheadedness and palpitations - I have a cardiology appointment next year, and had a 48 hour ECG monitor over the weekend.

Lying awake trying to do yoga breathing, feeling frustrated with health stuff and quite lonely. I don't want to worry DP as she is in a different country, it wouldn't be fair on her.

Ho hum.

Hand hold from me Brew
Not a medical person but have you considered calling 111?

AbsentmindedWoman · 18/12/2018 02:59

Thank you Brew

I did, but once they hear I have type 1 diabetes it will trigger an ambulance without any real analysis, and unless pain gets sharper I honestly don't think the risk merits that.

I have a deadline tomorrow, and can't stomach hanging out in hospital for hours.

I think I feel better now lying flat, instead of sitting at my desk.

I'm so glad there's always an awake person on Mumsnet!

I suffer from palpitations too and had the heart monitor . Mine turned out to be anxiety and I take beta blockers for it now. Glad your feeling a little better.

Please do call them if it gets worse I know it’s not nice hanging around in hospitals for hours but if your truly worried it will be worth going
