Child sleepwalking/vomiting

I hope someone can help. It’s getting a little too regular now for my liking.
Dd is 8 and a few hours after going to sleep she starts sleep walking or crying. She shivers despite being warm. Then she’s sick. Sometimes quite a few times but fine the next day.
This usually happens when her sleep has been disturbed, she’s over tired or if I’m away with dh (which isn’t regular but it happens every time)
Tonight is another one of those nights. It’s horrible. Plus she’ll now have to take the required 48 hours off school because of the vomiting. And I’ll be on edge all night tonight as I absolutely hate the stress of it and the cleaning up Sad
Could it be anxiety? She seems a very happy little girl and goes to bed the same time every night.

Sounds like it could be night terrors. Is it happening the same time every night? If so you could try gently waking her about 20 minutes before to break the sleep cycle.

It’s not that predictable when it will happen, I’d say it’s about once a month lately. She didn’t seem scared when she started walking around, i think it was more that a noise woke her up this time. She was jittery and quite hot. It also happens if we go away and mil is looking after her.
It’s as though she’s so tired she just vomits but as she has a big fear of being sick anyway it makes her more on edge

My DS used to do this is he overheated in bed.. just cracking the window helped him..
Worth a try?

One night MIL was babysitting and said oh his window was open so I shut it.. sure enough happened that night..

My dd had something similar at that age. She didnt vomit only dry reach but it was the same every night with sleep walking. A week later she came down with chicken pox.
