I’m having an MRI tomorrow and am really panicking that I won’t be able to fit in the scanner! I weigh nearly 20 stone 😢 and will be so embarrassed if they can’t do the scan.

20 stone is nothing. There are people too big to have a standard MRI but they are many many stone more than 20.

You aren't even bariatric.

Quick google suggests max weight is 25st.

Good luck for tom, I’m sure you’ll be ok.

20 stone is nothing? Shock

I wouldn't have a clue really what measurements fit in. Any way you can measure the widest part of you and google the measurements of an MRI scanner?

Aw- I've an MRI this Thursday... misery loves company and all that. Check your appointment letter if you have one as with mine, I had a list of things to mention to the department ahead of the appointment and one of those things was if I weighed over 23 stone. So I reckon you should be fine.

Hope it all goes well- it's a bit of a daunting thing, isn't it?
