Before I start I will say this is all so childish it's unbelievable. The people involved are aged between 18 and 20 so quite young but I thought by now people should have grown up.
I have known my friend for almost two years now, we briefly dated for a few months (which is how we know each other). We didn't talk for about a year because he started dating someone new and I thought he just didn't want me in his life anymore.
We reconnected around September time but I recently learnt that the now ex girlfriend is still on the scene, still sees him regularly and believes I'm trying to be with him again/we are basically together again (which we are not, I am happily engaged and starting a family).
She has blocked my number from his phone, which I don't believe he knows yet, and has also removed me from his social media a few times causing him to think I had removed him and didn't want to be friends anymore.
She opened all my messages to him yesterday and erased them before he saw them, and deleted me from his social media again.
I sent a very angry message after she tried to gain access to my private Instagram account calling her some not very nice things (stupid and a psycho). I think I just reached the end of my tether after months of her going on his phone whilst he's asleep reading personal things I wouldn't want a stranger to see, probably going through my social media on his account, and making him so scared for her safety (mental health issues) he has called the police on her and he isn't "allowed" to see me, if he does he has to lie about it, which I'm not comfortable with.
I don't really expect advice because I know how stupid this all is and I know I have to cut him out of my life (and I have done today after realising he is never going to move on from her enough to properly be friends with me). I think I'm just in shock at how crazy someone can be. She was actually threatening to kill herself because she couldn't get a lift home one night. Im just speechless at that one.
