6 weeks confused and scared

Long story short, I was referred to EPAU for a scan due to bleeding,

1st scan told all was ok was about 5 weeks bleeding wasn't bothering baby could see a faint heartbeat( I struggled to believe that) and to call if bleeding got heavier if not then to wait for 12 week scan

Bleeding got slightly heavier so phoned scan was booked for 4 days after 1st scan

2nd scan (different sonographer) told sac was irregular and was collapsing On itself but slow heartbeat and I was going to miscarry that weekend scan booked for following Friday to check progress of miscarriage

Miscarriage didn't happen bleeding actually stopped and has tappered down to on/off spotting mostly brown

3rd scan told sac had doubled in size nearly and looked ok but couldn't see a heartbeat or baby and that yet again I was misscarrying sat and waited to speak to doctor when midwife came in to say sonographer was trying to work out if shape near edge of sac was the baby and was trying to measure it, was told by doctor I'd need a second scan to confirm miscarriage so am waiting a week.

What is the likelihood they've got it all wrong and my little rice crispy is actually in there all ok and they just couldn't pick the heart beat up, I'll be between 6 and 7 weeks when I got for 4th scan.
