I have one.

I have never set foot in a JL store or been on their website.

What do I want to spend it on?

You could spend it in Waitrose and get some lovely Christmas food.

Reallybadidea · 17/12/2018 12:33

Or a nice candle from JL.

ViragoKnows · 17/12/2018 12:35

Definitely lovely Waitrose food.

I can’t go to Waitrose!!!!! They look at me funny in there - they know I’m “not their sort”. 😁

😁 They can’t be as scary as the Iceland lot.

ViragoKnows · 17/12/2018 12:39

Besides, its December which means Waitrose loses its airs and becomes complete carnage 😉

GingerbreadTeapot · 17/12/2018 12:42

Just go to Waitrose! DP had never been inside a Waitrose before he met me and thought I was joking the first time I said "let's go to Waitrose for some posh food" but he's a convert now when he wants something naice Grin

Undercoverbanana · 17/12/2018 12:43

I’m an Aldi girl. The staff there are lovely. I have my family to make me feel inadequate - I don’t need naice women in Waitrose making me feel bad about myself. 😁😁😁😁😁😁

I schlep in there muddy with a scraggy bun after dog walking. Sometimes i even stop my poor glottals. Honestly, they don't do things to you Grin

Otherwise, buy kitchen gadgets or beauty bargains online.

CaroloftheBalls · 17/12/2018 12:49
Confused

John Lewis price match with other retailers so if you are planning to buy something from somewhere else, just buy it from JL and use your voucher.

BarbaraofSevillle · 17/12/2018 12:57

Well if you feel out of place in Waitrose, you ain't gonna feel at home in JL.

You'll give yourself away by going round looking at the prices, putting things down very carefully and tutting Smile.

If I had a £25 JL voucher, I'd go to Waitrose, buy a nice bottle of gin on special offer and some of their own brand tonic in little cans so it doesn't go flat.

And then I'd go and do the rest of my shopping at the Aldi over the road.

Undercoverbanana · 17/12/2018 13:06

Do JL have a good online sale?

I’m always on the lookout for cheap running gear. I particularly need new trail shoes.

OP I think it's a real shame to have so little confidence in yourself that you limit what shops you would go in.

GlassLantern · 17/12/2018 16:41

Not their sort? Pensioners scrounging free coffee is the default customer.

Undercoverbanana · 18/12/2018 10:16

Been looking online - their stuff is really expensive.

Hoping the sales will be better.

What should I look out for?
