Don’t know what to do...

We have our house on the market as want to upsize and move closer to work.

DS is 19mo and at nursery. Moving would mean we’d move his nursery due to logistical issues.

However, I’m not keen on the nursery in the village we want to move to but I’d be happy to use it for wrap around care when he starts primary school.

So he will change nursery to on on the way to work then move again when he starts school.

I’m really worried and don’t know what to do. Should we take the house off the market and move to the village when he’s due to start school.

I’m worried it will affect his development. He’s recently been described as quiet by his key worker at his current nursery at parents evening. I was surprised as he doesn’t seem shy when I take him to baby groups. But because of this, I’m worried moving and causing disruption will make his shy/more quiet due to new people/environment?

He’s only in nursery two days a week. Am I overreacting?

I really want to move but want to make the best decision for DS.

Opinions please??

What's the issue with the nursery in the village?

It’s based in the basement of a community centre. No windows and children aren’t split into age groups. Also when I visiting, One of the children had a plank of wood with nails in it like it was a toy. Just don’t feel right about it for full days.

Have you looked into if there are any childminders there?
